The increasing use of AI generated images in world cinema have led to a new phenomenon, which is the creation of the actor’s countenance and persona using AI generated images; even actors of yesteryear are being revived in youthful avatars through the use of AI. Apart from describing the experience of watching actors in the new films featuring versions of them, the essay asks if the actor owns his or her image and comments on the efforts of actor’s guilds to prevent it, whether it is legitimate.
